Ethically sourced

The 3 species (4 species for the black-bamboo version) of bamboo used in the chair are sustainably sourced from independent farmers all over the Visayas Region

Bisaya Bamboo, Bisaya Craftsmanship

• The high-quality borax-treated bamboo timber is hand selected and produced by our partner, Kawayan Collective in Negros Oriental
• The chair is proudly manufactured in Cebu
• Every chair produced is unique because every piece of bamboo is unique

Constructed to last a generation

• The bamboo timber is treated according to INBAR* standards to last 50+ years kept in a stable environment**
  * The chair is kiln dried and treated in a borax-based solution to protect from termites and the powder post beetle.
  * To keep the chair in the best condition, it must be protected from exposure to sun, rain, and excessive moisture and humidity preferentially indoors.

A Chair that Cleans the Air

• Bamboo has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any industrial materials
• The chair is constructed with 95% treated bamboo fr Kawayan Collective
